I saw the episode "Same As It Never Was" during that Turtle Nation marathon that went on. That episode had "post-apocalyptic" written all over it. It was the saga where the Turtles got sent to different dimensional worlds by the evil dragon Draco and the Domio's son. Donatello ended up in the distant future where Shredder ruled the world. How predictable. Of course, even Donnie couldn't predict the Hell that happened during the years of what happened to his family. Losing his father Splinter and the death of Casey. It truly was Hell on Earth.
In my mind, I had the feeling that after what Donnie experienced, this future had to have motivated Donnie and the others to stop Shredder once and for all; or this future will happen. No one should ever go through this Ever again.
